The Town of East Fishkill offers a variety of recreation activites.

East Fishkill Recreation Park

This 60-acre recreation area, at Route 376 and Route 82, includes six baseball/ softball fields, four with lights; three lighted tennis courts; six lighted basketball courts; two lighted volleyball courts; a lighted roller hockey rink; an all-purpose field for football, lacrosse, etc.; a skateboard park; two concession stands; two “Water Misters” at the playground, two pavilions with picnic tables; a gazebo and picnic area, a three-quarter-mile walking/jogging trail, a lighted ice skating pond, fishing, and the East Fishkill Community Center for meetings, senior citizen activities, shuffleboard, cards, bingo and nutrition programs.

East Fishkill is home to numerous leagues. Registration has passed for a lot of the sports for this summer, but here is more information:

Baseball

Softball

Registration is usually in January and February.

Women's Softball

East Fishkill Basketball Program

The Men's Summer League is placed at the Hopewell Recrecreation Center on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Please call Frank Matteo at (845) 592-0035 for information.

East Fishkill Summer Basketball Camps are for chlldren entering fourth-ninth grades. Camp meets from 8:30-11:00 am at Van Wyck Junior High School. Boys' camp meets July 12-16 (Monday-Friday) for grades 4-8. 

Winter Men's Basketball plays from October to March (when schools are open) at Van Wyck Junior High School, on Fridays from 8-10 pm  and Sundays from 9-11 am.

This league is for players in grades 1-12. The junior program, grades 1 and 2, is a structured, weekly clinic that promotes the basics of basketball.  The intramural program, for grades 3-8, is designed to teach the fundamentals of the game in a recreational setting. For grades 9-12, there is an open gym to provide an opportunity for organized play in a supervised setting. The season runs from mid-November until the end of March.

This program fills to capacity quickly.  Registration is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis. Completed registrations must be submitted at one of the above registration dates and will not be accepted through the mail until after in-person registration, if any spots are still available.

  • Free skating is Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3-5 pm.
  • Learn to skate in the Atoms program for ages 4-7 (ages verified as of Dec. 31, 2009)
  • Adult division available.
  • Coaches are always needed. Please call or visit the web site.
  • Fall season is September to November.

Volleyball

Summer co-ed volleyball meets at the lighted courts in Hopewell. Registration has passed. Winter co-ed volleyball meets at Van Wyck Junior High School from October to April when the schoosl are open. Stay posted for registration details.

Field Hockey

Girls Field Hockey Camp takes place the week of July 26. Registration has passed.

Football

The Hudson Valley Cowboys are a minor league team for those 18 and older. Registration is in February. For information, call Barbara Green at (845) 464-0398.
