Functions

The Board of Assessment Review (BAR) was established to guarantee taxpayer's rights by hearing real property assessment complaints (grievances) and arriving at fair and impartial determinations regarding those complaints.

The Board consists of 3 volunteer members who are appointed by the Town Board to 5-year terms.
