Seasonal Laborer - APPLICATION

Performs a variety of manual labor tasks, which requires physical endurance and a willingness to perform tasks at times in inclement weather.  Generally hand, power tools and automotive equipment will be used to perform work.  Work will include but are not limited to mowing grounds, setting up fields for use, cleaning parks and park-n-rides.

Part-time Fire Inspector -   APPLICATION

The work involves responsibility for the thorough inspection of new and existing dwellings, factories, business establishments, and other facilities for compliance with fire prevention and fire safety standards.

Temporary Part-time Typist -    APPLICATION

Position provides secretarial and clerical support to a department.

Part-time Cleaner -    APPLICATION

Position provides reouting cleaning tasks. Typical work includes but is not limited to dusting, wasing windows and walls, change light bulbs, sweeping, mopping, gathers and disposes of refuse and snow and ice control.

Part-time Maintenance -     APPLICATION

Performs semi-skilled work in masonry, carpentry, electrical, plumbing or painting operations.

2017 Seasonal/Summer Recreation Positions Available-    APPLICATION

Camp Health Officer:  Plan and implement camp safety plan; maintain medical files for campers; assess treating campers who sustain medical injuries or illnesses; train camp personnel; monitor safety and sanitary conditions.  Minimum Qualifications:  Valid license/certification as a physician, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, emergency medical technician, or other person acceptable to the State Commissioner of Health.  Must be 21 years of age.  Background check required.

Aquatic Beachfront Director:  Oversee all aspects of lakeside swimming facility for Red Wing Park.  Recruit, train, and supervise lifeguard staff; plan daily schedule; supervise maintenance; plan swim registration and lesson schedules; order supplies; maintain records; water testing; prepare budget; implement safety plan.  Minimum Qualifications:  Three seasons of previous waterfront experience as a lifeguard or have prior experience as an aquatics director.  Waterfront Lifeguard Certification and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer Certification, or possess a certification acceptable to the State Health Commissioner.  Must be 21 years of age.  Background check required.

Lifeguards:   Lifeguards are responsible for the life and protection of persons swimming or using the beach area at Red Wing Park.  Ability to swim, operate water safety equipment, knowledge of the principles and practices of water safety, artificial respiration and emergency first aid.  All applicants must possess a current American Red Cross (ARC) Basic Life Support for the Professional Rescuer; cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).  Candidates must be at least 16 years of age.

Counselors in Training (CIT) : Candidates must be at least 15 years of age by June 1, 2017.
