Welcome to the Town of East Fishkill, NY Official Web Site. The town encompasses the communities of Arthursburg, East Fishkill, Fishkill Plains, Gayhead, Hillside Lake, Hopewell Junction, Hortontown, Lomala, Pecksville, Shenandoah, Stormville and Wiccopee and is located in Dutchess County, NY.
Brusk Drop Off: Starts May 19th and will end June 20th. At the site located at 216 Lime Kiln Road from 10:00am to 6:00pm Tuesday throught Saturday. Proof of East Fishkill residency is required at the site no manufactured wood or non-brush debris will be accepted.
No Curbside Brush Pick-up: Due to the high fuel cost and budget constraints, the Town will be unable to conduct Brush Pick-up as we have in the past. Due to these considerations, please do not put your brush out at the road. Thank-you.

On November 8th Dutchess County notified the Town of East Fishkill that they were going to exercise their authority to modify the intersection of Philips Road and Beekman Road in spite of the Town's position on this issue. We will be changing our signage on Phillips Road to avoid any conflict. If you have any questions please contact the Dutchess County Public Works Department, Engineering Division.
Philips Road Court Case- April 9, 2009
The NYS Court of Appeals allowed Dutchess County to file their brief in the Philips Rd. court case and then denied the application to appeal and awarded the Town $100. in costs. The only option left for an appeal to reverse the original decision made in the Town's favor (keeping Philips Road open) is to appeal to the US Supreme Court.
2010 Census: Begining April 2009, the US Census Bureau will start "Address Canvassing". They will be walking around in your neighborhood to update the 2010 Census address list. This will help ensure an accurate list the Bureau will use to mail or hand deliver the 10 question 2010 Census questionaires in March, 2010. Some important dates are: April - July 2009, Census employees go door-to-door to udate address list nationwide. February - March 2010, Census Questionaires are mailed or delivered to households. April - July 2010, Census takers visit households that did not return a questionaire by mail. For more information please go to www.census.gov/2010census

Special guest speakers include Congressman John Hall, Peter Seeger and our own Town Supervisor John Hickman to name a few. Performance from renown Magician Harry Mandell, Enviromental Exhibits, Food, Children Activities, free sailing on Sloop Woody Guthrie. All are welcome.
